Newvest Recoveries Sdn Bhd
Last updated: June 2026
NEWVEST is committed to operating with transparency, professionalism, and integrity in every interaction. This page exists to help you understand how we communicate, what we will never do, and what steps to take if you believe you have been contacted by someone falsely claiming to represent NEWVEST.
How NEWVEST Contacts You
If you have an outstanding account being managed by NEWVEST Recoveries, you may hear from us. All contact is made on behalf of the organisation that appointed us, which may be a bank, financial institution, telecommunications provider, utility company, or consumer services brand.
We may contact you through the following official channels:
- Phone calls from verified NEWVEST numbers
- Emails sent from official NEWVEST email domains (@newvestrecoveries.com or @newvest.my)
- Written correspondence sent to your registered address
- WhatsApp messages sent from verified NEWVEST business numbers listed on this page
All contact is conducted in accordance with our documented communication standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
What NEWVEST Will Never Do
This section contains critical information. Please read it carefully.
NEWVEST will never ask you to transfer money or make payment into any unauthorised or unverified account. Depending on the nature of your account, payments may be directed to the original organisation you owe, or to a NEWVEST Assets special purpose vehicle (SPV) that has legally acquired your receivable. In either case, the correct payment details will always be communicated to you through verified and documented channels. If you are unsure where your payment should go, contact us directly before making any transfer.
If anyone contacts you claiming to be from NEWVEST and asks you to transfer money into a personal account, a third-party account, or any account not belonging to the original organisation you owe, this is a scam. Do not make any payment and report it immediately.
In addition, NEWVEST will never:
- Request your passwords, PINs, or One-Time Passwords (OTPs)
- Ask for sensitive personal or financial information via SMS, WhatsApp, or unsecured channels
- Pressure you to make an immediate payment without allowing time for verification
- Threaten legal action without first providing written notice and allowing reasonable time for response
- Contact you through unofficial or unverified channels
How to Verify a NEWVEST Contact
If you have been contacted by someone claiming to represent NEWVEST and you are unsure whether the communication is legitimate, here are the steps you can take:
Step 1 — Check the number or email address. All verified NEWVEST contact numbers and email addresses are listed on our Our Clients page. If the number or address used to contact you does not appear on that page, do not engage further.
Step 2 — Visit our website directly. Do not click any links sent to you via SMS, WhatsApp, or email. Instead, visit www.newvest.my directly and navigate to the Help and Support or Our Clients page to find verified contact details.
Step 3 — Call us to verify. You may contact NEWVEST directly using the details on our Contact Us page to confirm whether we have been trying to reach you and why.
Step 4 — Do not share personal information until you are certain. A legitimate NEWVEST representative will always allow you time to verify before proceeding. Urgency and pressure are warning signs.
If You Suspect Fraud
If something does not feel right, trust that instinct. Here is what to do next.
Report it to NEWVEST. Contact our security team directly at admin@newvest.my. Please include as much detail as possible, including the phone number or email address used, the nature of the communication, and the date and time of contact. This helps us monitor and respond to impersonation attempts.
Report it to the authorities. You may also report suspected fraud to:
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) — via the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) Scam Response Centre at 03-2610 1559
National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) — call 997 if you have made a payment to a fraudulent account. Calls must be made within 24 hours of the incident and within operating hours of 8am to 8pm, including weekends and public holidays
CyberSecurity Malaysia — report cybersecurity incidents via the Cyber999 Help Centre at 1-300-88-2999 or cybersecurity.my
If you have already transferred money to what you now believe is a fraudulent account, contact your bank immediately. Request that the transaction be frozen or reversed. Act quickly as time is critical and early intervention significantly increases the chance of recovery.
